Neon Strip is a versatile EL lamp, a perfect alternative to led,
neon or other strip-lighting solutions. It comes in standard lengths
of 25m or 50m which can easily be joined together to create any desired
length, or it can simply be cut to a shorter length. There are also
four width sizes available, with lit-area widths of 10, 15, 20 and 30mm.
Neon Strip is available in two different systems – bus-bar and
split system which are explained in more detail under Products
Colours and Effects
Neon Strip comes in six colours and a virtually limitless range
of colours is available with the addition of a colour filter.
Sections of Neon Strip, even of various colours, can be joined
together and lit as a single strip or each section can be driven
independently, permitting different lighting and sequencing effects.
How to join sections of Neon Strip
Peel the backing off the two strips to be joined and connect the electrodes
Driving Neon Strip
Neon Strip is driven by a AC power supply from a low voltage
DC power source by means of an inverter. The inverter required
to drive Neon Strip depends on the length of the strip that needs
to be lit. Very long lengths of Neon Strip can be lit but the
length that can be driven is limited by the size of the power
supply available to drive it.
Visual can provide the electronics and advice to drive Neon Strip,
especially in relation to correctly matching Neon Strip with
the right inverter so as to provide maximum performance and product
lifetime.
