Split system

The split system provides the most economical Neon Strip option and is in fact composed of 2 separate parallel lamps. Brightness regulation in this system is limited, which has the advantage of protecting it from accidental damage that might occur from being driven too brightly. The split system also has the benefit of having less of an edge seal which allows the strip to have wider lit area.

Bus Bar system

The Bus Bar System consists of a single EL lamp to which power is supplied evenly by electrical paths known as bus bars. The Bus Bar System provides a solid band of light in a single lit area and its brightness can be easily regulated. This system is also the most efficient in terms of power consumption.
